Nina Fazio

Something of a “white collar gypsy,” Nina began her high-tech career in the exploding Computer industry in the 1980s; then on to Broadband/Cable in the 90s followed by the Wireless Telecom industry where she is now in her fifth assignment at Motorola, Inc. It took 21 residential moves to keep up with that circuitous career path.
Along the way -- and prophetically, it would seem -- Nina completed her BS in Management at the University of Phoenix On-Line Campus in 1999 – making her an early adopter of emerging Web 2.0 technologies that serve her well in her current role as engineering community coach for the Government & Public Safely engineering organization.
Nina is a DSS/Quality Yellow Badge holder working on her Green Belt project for engineering tool productivity improvements.
A writer at heart and a project manager by nature (and job code), Nina has left behind some evidence of her work:
- Technical communities of practice for product engineering optimization
- Virtual Engineering Symposium serving ~10 global engineering sites and ~7,500 engineers
- Agile Project Management practices blended with traditional waterfall model in software dvelopment organization
- Durable business processes for customer documentation, estimation, process asset library, program quality review board and ODC implementation
- Green-field start-up of a 100K sq. ft. maquiladora in Cd. Juarez, Mexico (in the team role of New Product Introduction Manager)
